Have you thought about becoming a teacher's assistant ? If yes, this introductory course is for you. This one-day class focuses on the skills and attitudes necessary to effectively support teachers and students in various educational environments. Educational philosophies and Department of Education policies will be examined. Students will also review some of their responsibilities which includes: monitoring activities, helping children organize activities, maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment and knowing how to respond in emergency situations, is just a few of the responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- a high school diploma or a GED;
- child abuse and neglect certification;
- First Aid/CPR certification;
- pass a criminal background check and physical;and
- must have at least six months of successful working experience in a center.
