The purpose of this course is to prepare participants to take the Remote Pilot Certification Knowledge Test. This test is required to receive a Remote Pilot with Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) rating from the Federal Aviation Administration. The remote pilot certification is necessary to operate sUAS commercially in the National Airspace System (NAS).
Conducted over two days, this course will provide the participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate sUAS under the regulations. In addition to the didactic presentations, time will be spent learning how to fly and control sUAS in order to complete a series of real world scenarios.
