This CNA course prepares students for entry-level positions in the healthcare industry. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Physician Assistant (PA) or a Medical Doctor (MD), providing assistance to patients with daily tasks. Students must complete 130 hours of training (100 hours of classroom/lab instruction and 30 hours of clinical study).
After successful completion the course, students must pass a New York State licensing exam before working as a CNA. Many students use the program as a stepping stone to the LPN program or an associate degree program.
